Evaluation of physical and chemical variables of organic substrates in a hydroponic system for strawberry (Fragaria ananassa Duch)

This project is presented as an innovative and clean alternative that optimizes the use of small areas for strawberry (Fragaria ananassa Duch) production in department Nariño. research was conducted at Centro Internacional de Producción Limpia Lope -SENA- Regional Nariño, with aim evaluating physical chemical variables organic substrates such coconut fiber, rice husk, their mixtures variety Albión a hydroponic system. Six treatments four repetitions were performed; 100% 70% husk 30% fiber mixture, 50% each used, mixture control soil plastic cover. A comparative analysis made between average values obtained initial stage final experiment, properties bulk density, real gravimetric moisture, granulometry, pH, electrical conductivity. The experiment showed taking measurements allows adequate monitoring optimal crop development since substrate high percentage particles sieve <0.25, conductivities greater than 2000 µS.cm-1, increase density can produce salinization compaction, negatively impacting crop.
